Easter 2014

Here are a few photos posted this week on our Facebook page, showing the different products we assemble each day and evening in the run up to Easter.  The gifts are unique to our shop, so if you're looking for that special gift, look no further than Seaford, East Sussex.

Easter Egg 2014

This year we chose orange foil and a brown ribbon with a bunny silhouette print.  We have three sizes of egg shell available and they are all filled with delicious Belgian chocolates from our cabinets.

Mixed Eggs In Metal Bucket

This is destined to be the most popular product this year and it will sell out very soon, miniature coloured metal buckets with a mixture of small eggs inside.

Cute Chicks

These little chicks are always popular, they have such lovely faces, I'm not too sure how many people actually keep them as an ornament, as it must be quite difficult to munch on such a cute figure!


 

Praline Filled Bunnies

Bags of bunnies, milk versions are now sold out, but there are dark and white versions currently available of this really delicious praline rabbit.

Mini Figures And Eggs

Don't you just love the expressions on their faces?  Miniature Easter figures on even more miniature eggs.

Inside are seven small praline eggs with one large praline egg.

Mega Bunnies On Praline Eggs

These bunnies have become affectionately known to us over the years as Mega Bunnies.  They are praline filled and 34g in weight.  (Quite large for a chocolate bunny!)

Why not have a change and have a chicken instead of a rabbit as your Easter gift?  These hollow chickens are resting on a mixture of great tasting small eggs.

Father's Day 2013

Father's Day is fast approaching, just two Sundays to go, as this year it is on Sunday 16 June.  The most popular confectionery seems to be chocolate covered brazils, chocolate ginger and liqueurs.  But there are many other things too . . . how about some of our new Italian nougat?  Or maybe some Dutch liquorice?  Or even some classic marzipan?  Why not have your ballotin of Belgian chocolates gift wrapped, for only an extra 50p?

Another Delivery Of Chocolates

Last Thursday we had another delivery of Belgian chocolates from Valentino Chocolatier.  They come to us on a temperature controlled truck, that delivers other temperature sensitive products too.  As usual it made slow, but certain progress along Broad Street to reach us with the tasty cargo.

The delivery to us was the last one of the day for the driver.  That evening he was heading off back to Europe via Eurotunnel.

Easter Sunday In Three Weeks . . .

Yes, Easter is on it's way.  We've had a small amount of Easter products available in our Seaford shop but due to Mother's Day being first, we've kept Easter fairly low key.  But, now is the time for us to go full steam ahead.

From next week onwards, there will be eggs and bunnies everywhere! 

We make up Easter Eggs with a mixed assortment of Belgian chocolates inside and they are available in either milk, dark or white shells.  If you wish to have a specific selection of chocolates - maybe all dark or all coffee ones, for example - just give us 24 hours notice and we can make up an egg ready for you to collect the next day. 

A Date For Your Diaries . . .

Mothering Sunday is not that far away, this year it's on Sunday 18 March.  Don't forget to treat your Mum to a lovely box of chocolates from Sweet Moments, The Belgian Chocolate Shop in Seaford, East Sussex

Chocolate Workshops In Belgium

Valentino Chocolatier, our main supplier of chocolates, are running workshops in their Belgian headquarters in the town of Schepdaal near Brussels.  The workshops are held on a Saturday morning and can be in English, Flemish or French.  They are available for groups of a minimum of ten at €150 (€15 per person).

With the Valentino Chocolatiers - Henk and Sven - you can learn how to make pralines, including filling a mould, piping decorations etc and you get to take home all the products you make too!

Why not get together with a group of 10 friends, work colleagues or family members and enjoy a long weekend in Belgium?  There are many places to stay, including Alsput Hotel and Restaurant on the outskirts of Halle or Villa d'Elbeek to name just two.

Eaten all your own creations?  Nothing left to bring back to the UK?  Then you could always choose some more chocolates in the Valentino shop, there's more than eighty to choose from!
