Latest Visit To Belgium

Recently, whilst travelling between our main packaging suppliers in Belgium, we stopped in the town of Enghien/Edingen for the first time.  We've been past the town before, but never really had the opportunity to walk around it.  As it was time for a break we stopped at a delightful café and tapas bar called The Morango Room.

What an excellent find!

They have an extensive menu of savoury and sweet food, hot and cold drinks too.  All the food is made on the premises by the friendly owner, he was busy preparing the tins for the quiche whilst we were there.  We're definitely looking forward to our next visit to The Morango Room . . .

Dutch Liquorice

Here at Sweet Moments we stock a wide range of liquorice, both sweet and salty.  Our main supplier is Kraepelien & Holm who are based in Oosterwolde in the province of Friesland.  They began in 1864 as a joint venture between two pharmacists, Mr Kraepelien and Mr Holm, in Zeist.  They're still an independent family owned company and produce some wonderful products, that over the years, our customers have come to love.  Our Dutch and Scandinavian customers often buy in bulk when they come to visit us, so make sure you get through the door before they do, otherwise it may disappear before your very eyes!
